Perfect location - that is all. 5 of us stayed 5 days & 4 nights, 4/10-14/23. Super grateful for the caretakers, Don Rafa & Dona Marta. Truly amazing hosts, made our stay much more enjoyable. Beautiful, secluded & serene Esterillos Este, a paradise dream. Beachfront view made to relax & recharge. Unfortunately, seems the owners left property for caretakers to make do however they can. If it weren’t for them, we would have left. 1- No dedicated workspace. We own several businesses in the US, so we cannot completely disconnect on vacation. 2-Wifi dropped at least 2-3x a day. Didn’t help main electrical is a wire mess that overheats at least once a day. 3-Washer, dryer broken. The hubs had to hold drain hose in the air for 2 hours to run 2 washes. 4-Mattresses are 30+y/o. You can hear & feel every spring. Hubs and I had to sleep in separate beds to find comfortable mattress corners. 5-Security Cams everywhere. Not comfortable. Sad to see how poorly the owners care. Will not return.

It's a heavenly place where you can get a great rest because it's isolated from crowds. Almost it's a private beach. The house is very spacious and has all amenities. Good beds and cooking artifacts. Very beautiful and well kept gardens. It has very cool areas to be and rest. The phenomenal pool and jacuzzi. And from all these spaces you can see the sea, which gives this house a great plus. The attention by messages and in the same house by those who take care of it has been excellent. We'll be back!!!!

Marta and Rafa are the delightful, attentive caretakers at Villa Lamugue, and they were a wonderful resource for us. Upon arrival, we found a gift of a gorgeous tray of whole fruits. The pineapples were ripe to perfection! And they did us the favor of shopping for fresh local fish to make our own ceviche. This house is a great place to entertain with a large covered patio, guest/pool bathrooms and a charcoal grill. The jets in the swimming pool are deliciously powerful. The beach is pristine, and there is never more than a handful of other people. Broad and long with perfect sand, Esterillos Este is great for long walks and sunsets. Down the way, there are a few small hotels and restaurants where it's easy to rent a surfboard, take a yoga class or find a great meal.

This location is unbelievable. I have stayed in lots of locations in Costa Rica, this location was fantastic. private beach feel. easy to get to. restaurants are just a 5-10 mins drive. The people that take care of the place live in the back in a separate little house, they were polite and didn't linger while we were there. communication with host was excellent. i asked lots of questions before I booked and they answered all of them in a timely manner.

We really liked the location, the pools are perfect for children, the gardens are very well kept, the kitchen is well equipped and in general it is very good. They must be a little more careful with the issue of privacy (in our case we saw a couple of times people we did not know within the facilities and especially for the children this we did not like very much), during our stay (2 nights) there were at least 3 electrical failures related to problems with the electrical installation of the villa, the water in the area seems not to be clean 100% of the time (at least two times it came out dirty) so I recommend bringing water in case you need clean water to drink. Despite the above, we had a nice stay although this made the price not 100% to expectations in the end.

Our stay at Villa Lamugue was fantastic. The large place is spacious with several social areas for guest. It has a kitchen really equipped with 2 refrigerators, gas stove and even air fryer. The green areas and pool are extremely well-kept and you really enjoy the day in them. I think the most valuable thing is to have the beach in front so that one can come and go at any time. The place is open but really feels safe and the hosts were always pending to answer any questions or assist us. Thank you, we hope to be back soon 🙂

The location is perfect, in front of the beach. For families with children it is convenient to know that it is made up of two methods, the back module the bedrooms and in front a large living room with the kitchen and the living room, next to the jacuzzi and the pool.

The location was good but the house could be much cleaner. There were insects and ants in several rooms and one of our party got bitten by bedbugs and had to go to the doctors. The caretakers Rafa and Marta were very helpful.

Villa LAMUGUE really has an excellent location, steps from the sea, from the house you can hear the waves, its amenities are as described, equipped and with space for everyone. There could be a small lack of cleaning and maintenance but nothing that ruins the walk or that prevents you from enjoying the place.

We were a couple and this house was perfect for us, however it would also easy accomodate 4 person. It has two identical bathrooms, comfortable bedrooms with large wardrobes and a modern kitchen/ living room. The house was built last year and everything is new and clean. The terrace has perfect privacy and you can park the car inside the gate. We definitely recommend this place and thank the owners for doing Airbnb.

Such a perfect beach house for two families. Quietest beach you will ever stay at! Two pools, outdoor kitchen and the endless shell hunting were some of the highlights. AC worked great too in the bedrooms. I highly recommend this Airbnb for families. Rafa was also a great help during the few days we were there! Thanks for everything!

This place was is down my favorite place I have ever stayed. The "vibe" of this house cannot be beat. Perched on a mountainside, totally private. You can tell the owners have real style and understand design. Everything from the tile, to the bed linens to the terrace furniture is well considered. This place feels high end and high touch and literally like a dream. It is up a rough path so not super easy to quickly run into town, but not all that difficult either. 4 wheel or all wheel needed. Gabbi and Christian were great to have close and understood we wanted privacy, no issues there. We didn't see them except for at check in and check out. fair warning, this is a jungle house that is partially open air so there will be insects and geckos. Probably not the house for you if that feels too challenging. Otherwise, definitely rent this place. I can't wait to return! Absolute jungle mountain private paradise of your dreams with the most amazing view you could image.

This house is not only beautiful, with a stunning setting, it has personality and soul. It’s a well loved sanctuary full of family memories. It was a privilege to share it. The pictures can’t do it justice because it’s difficult to convey the high ceilings and spacious rooms. The pictures of the view are breathtaking, but reality is better. There was more than enough space and epically comfy beds for all 6 of us. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare all your meals. We only ate one meal out; we didn’t want to leave. The pool is bigger/deeper than expected. We sang praises for the house all week long. The cons - we didn’t see monkeys (but we did hear them). And the driveway is no joke. When they say 4x4 is necessary they are serious. But it’s well worth the steep bumps. Gaby and Carlos are the lovely caretakers who live just down the hill - a shout away, and Katherine the property manager is helpful and responsive. You will not regret booking this property.

Overall, the place was good. Just enough space for a great vacation in paradise. Easily walkable to the beach and restauranta. As others have said, the pool felt very chemically, so hopefully that will be fixed. The communication with the team was quicksand friendly!

Love Esterillos Este Beach. The house was perfect for getting away and relaxing. The kids had so much fun in the pool and used the boogie board at the beach. Martha helped us during our stay and she was wonderful.

In my decade + of travels down to Uvita, this place was by far the easiest and most stress-free place to stay. You don't need 4x4, it feels like its in a safe neighborhood, the hosts are INCREDIBLE and helped with every aspect of our stay. You'd be crazy not to utilize this fantastic resource. They lined up our rental car, and did the grocery shopping for us so our fridge would be stocked upon arrival. Stay here and have the best trip.

This place is wonderful!! We felt so comfortable and happy. It’s fully immersed in the jungle with the best view of the ocean and sunsets. Monkeys, different kinds of toucans, and other small wild animals come around the house. The space is beautiful, open kitchen and social area with amazing terraces surrounding the house and bbq area. The bedrooms are very comfortable and nicely decorated. We just had the greatest time. It’s a great place for families with or without kids. Very recommended!

Service was great! Katherine is an excellent host. Very reliable, friendly, she provided us with great info at all times Gabi and her family were exceptional, Gabi cooked for us and the food was delicious! Her husband took us on a hike around the property, wow amazing views. The house is amazing, very spacious, the house and the garden are very well maintained, nice pool, the views are breathtaking, we felt at home! There’s a gate to get to the property, it’s pretty safe! I’m not so sure about the town, not a lot to do. You definitely need a 4x4 to go up to the property, but the views are worth it. It’s a little bit pricey, but I hope next time we get a discount, ☺️ I’ll definitely like to go back.

Love lives here! This home is so beautiful. Very well built and maintained. Gorgeous views from every side. It really was the greatest place to experience Costa Rica at its finest. The trees and plants come right up to the house/deck, which is why I initially booked this place. When the nature comes up to the house, you get to see and hear the toucans, birds, frogs, tiny lizards, butterflies and more. The views of the ocean are wonderful. It is right across the road from Playa Dominicalito. Let's talk about inside the house now...Each of the 4 bedrooms is air conditioned and have beautiful views. The 3 person bedroom (with the bunk beds) shares a connected bathroom with a Queen bed bedroom, which worked very well with our family. There is an exterior deck on the second floor that goes around two sides of the house, which was very helpful in exploring the flora and fauna. It has a large kitchen and laundry facilities. Great pool. Great service and communication. We love this place!!
